| Material Description |
Thermoplastic elastomeric polymer. |
| Properties |
Highly durable, high elongation, high flexibility, high fatigue to failure, lightweight, abrasion resistant, excellent rebound when needed. |
| Stiffness Options |
Stiffness in controlled by thickness. Thicker material is stiffer with higher rebound plus greater shock absorbsion and deflexion. |
| Flexibility Options |
Flexibility is also controlled by thickness. In reverse application, thicker is less flexible. *Note, VT 2000 was specially designed to provide the highest degree of support yet still flex easily. |
| Forming Characteristics |
Softening Point: 145° F Cooling Time: Until Stable Typically 4-8 minutes |
| Heating Procedure Guidelines |
Time/Temperature .062* .100* .080* .125* (*See special sheet) |
| Fabrication & Individual Adjustments |
Sands and grinds easily on conventional shop equipment. However, monitor for overheating. Material will turn gummy if overheated. If that happens - wait a short time - material will harden and can easily be sanded off with light pressure. |
| Variety of Applications |
VT 2000 is designed to maximize the use of full length foot supports. But for those times or situations, when desired VT 2000 can easily be molded into ¾ or ½ footbeds. VT 2000 works well with all direct molding pillows or can be vacuum-pressed using foot casts. |
| Cleaning |
Warm soapy water using dish detergent as soap. *Note hot water can cause deformation. |
| Warranty |
One year unconditional guarantee. |
